In 1966 my cousin who I had never met picked me up at my house one Saturday. He said I understand you are interested in cars. We went to his shop where he was changing the oil pan gasket on a slant six in a Plymouth Valiant. To get me out of his way he pointed to an engine outside and said why don't you take that apart? It was a 57 265 out of his 150 two door. I took off the intake valve covers heads pan and timing cover. I Removed oil pump the pistons rods crank lifters and cam. I was 12 years old an had never worked on an engine before. When he came outside to check on me he was surprised. He said I thought you would give up after a few min. and I could take you home. Today I have 4 Tri-five Chevys and work on them every day although I am planning to sell them on so some others can enjoy them as much as I have.
