    wheel backspacing

    hello would anyone know what the correct wheel rim back space for my 55 belair convert.. there's 215x75r15 on there now can I go a bit bigger just asking. what would be a good brand tire from Coker may get new rims as well any ideas ty

    If you wheels are stock 55/56 you are pushing it on size now. To go wider you need to go to 7 inch rims.

      so on the 215x75x15 don't rub now, if I add a 7 or 6 inch rim would it rub, I like Coker they mount balances tires rims and delivers them...

        I run 225/70/15s on 6 inch wheels 3 3/4 BS no rub on my 56. Same wheels with 215/70/15s on 55 with 15x10s on rear.

          I WAS TOLD BY A WHEEL DEALER AT BIG SHOW, THAT IT DIDNT MATTER THE SIZE AS FAR AS 16, 17 18 ON AS LONG AS IT HAS A 3 7/8" BACK SPACE IS HE FULL OF IT OR WAS HE TELLING ME THE TRUTH. HELP!
