    stuck on studs

SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT TO DO ABOUT MY WHEEL STUDS ON THE REAR OF MY 57 BELAIR. I AM GOING NUTS TRYING TO FIND SOME LONGER ONES TO FIT. I CANT MOUNT ANY DESCENT WHEELS. STUDS ARE TOO SHORT. ANYONE OUT THERE THAT HAS A SOLUTION WOULD SURE BE APPRECIATED.

Dorman makes longer ones, easy to knock out with a BFH. Pull new ones in with a stack of washers and a stock lugnut.

Your 'new' aftermarket wheels are the culprit... They *may* require a different lug nut (probably do)... Do you have a photo of the new wheel in place with your original studs?? Please show it if you do...

I HAVE TRIED EVERYWHERE AND THEY SAY THEY DONT HAVE ANYTHING W/ THAT SIZE KNERL ANY LONGER. JUST LOST. I CAN BUY DRAGRACE STUDS BUT WOULD NEED CUT OFF.

I had a similar problem when going from factory steel wheels to aluminum, never found studs I liked. Try a Google search for ET lugs (extended thread). It's not a brand of lug nut but rather a style. This type of lug nut has a shoulder that tapers down allowing you to reach the threads closer to the brake area mounting surface.

Shop for ET Lug Nuts at Lug Nut Guys. Extended Thread lugs are great option for use with many types of aftermarket wheels and vehicles with short wheel studs. Common thread sizes 7/16-20, 1/2-20, 12x1.5, 12x1.25 & 14x1.5
