Shocks for a lowered truck

My 56' Chevy truck has the Monroe-Matic shocks. They are a ok shock but since I'm planning on installing Posies springs to lower the truck 3 inches the Monroe's will probably need to go. What brand shock is recommended for lowered trucks?
Appreciate any advice on this.

If you just change the springs and nothing else (except maybe the shocks), you shouldn't need shocks with different dimensions. That would change if you move the shock mounts, new game. Monroe-matics are fine, but there are better shocks out there depending on your driving style.
