Up for auction on www.powerbidding.com is one of the coolest American icons, a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad. It is powered by a 327ci small block V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission and a PosiTraction rear axle. Stunning color combination of Larkspur Blue and Ivory White with a matching blue and black upholstery. The 327ci V8 was overhauled around 2011 and is equipped with an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor, MSD electronic ignition components, an aluminum radiator, and finned aluminum valve and air intake covers. Features included are blue-finished 15″ wheels with 215/70 BFGoodrich Silvertown Radial whitewall tires, front disc brakes, a wrap-around windshield, a two-piece tailgate, aftermarket air conditioning, a six-disc CD changer, and Pioneer speakers. The car is equipped with power-assisted steering, a rear anti-sway bar, and six-leaf rear springs. The two-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and wears an aftermarket leather wrap. Replacement Classic Instruments gauges include a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for coolant temperature, voltage, and oil pressure. The fuel gauge is now working. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 17k miles, all of which were added under current ownership because he loves driving it and set it up just for that purpose. Total mileage is unknown. The car was purchased in 2008 and comes with manufacturer?s literature, shop manuals, partial service records, and a clean Oregon title in the name of the seller. The left-rear quarter panel was replaced and the car was repainted Larkspur Blue and Ivory White by the current owner.
