    24v Trolling Motor Battery

    Hello everyone.

I’m upgrading my boat’s trolling motor and trying to figure out the best battery setup for reliable performance. I currently have a 24-volt trolling motor and want enough power for longer fishing trips without adding unnecessary weight.

I’ve seen different options, including AGM, lithium, and traditional lead-acid batteries, but I’m not sure which would provide the best balance of runtime, lifespan, and cost. For anyone who has experience with a 24v trolling motor battery, what type and capacity would you recommend?

Are there any important factors I should consider when choosing batteries, such as charging requirements, amp hours, weight, or maintenance?
