They were used on Corvettes with the 250 hp 327 in '62, 63, and '64. As Rick said, the lowest horsepower engines available those years in Corvettes.

There's a pair of them with date code K171 on Ebay for $471 with 28 watchers. Another pair with B72 datecode is listed for $1000. Lowest price I see is $75 per head. A pair of datecode K283 is listed for $250. Don't know if any of them are actually selling but the right buyer may want them.

An 896 head would have come on a 250 hp 327, which was the lowest hp choice for a 327 in 63 and 64. Available in any Chevy body style. Possibly also could have come on a 220 hp 283.

That date code probably puts it in a 64 model.

Those heads are not really worth anything.

    Power Pack heads

I have a pair of Power Pack heads casting #3795896 date codes H193 and H203 that I want to try to sell. I think these were used on Corvettes in the early 60's but not sure if they were used on Impalas too. Would the late August 1963 date codes have put these on 63 or 64 cars? It seems late for 63 production and early for 64.
