Tell me this isn’t true!!! I’m still overseas and just read about this but didn’t believe it. I knew Mike since he was about 16 years old and bought his 56 Nomad. He was a great friendly, honest guy to work with and he was a visionary and a great asset to the car world. I’m so sorry to hear this. Damn. Rest in peace buddy.

Gary,
There has been no word published yet on cause of death. There is a ton of well meaning folks on Facebook asking, and we all need to let his family come to grips with this, and figure it out before we expect answers. I'm sure it will come out at some point. Personally for me, it's all a shock that he's passed. Not the trajectory I had him on.
Pure guess, but he was in is mid 40's probably at this point.
Rest in Peace Michael.

I've bought many Nomad items from Michael over the past 10 yrs, and 'expected' to buy more. I've never met him personally, but talked to him many times on the phone when I needed something... He seemed like a great guy and a great supplier... and he sounded young. 40 is believable!
RIP Michael...
If you are looking for the cargo area trim (steel or stainless), there is another supplier. Randy Boyce. His is a one man shop; he's a veteran of two wars he told me.. I haven't yet dealt with him but I did call to make sure he's still in business and making parts. Seems like a good guy!
are there any vendors that sell his stuff? Woodys did.
Ecklers and Classic Industries (I think) were distributors of Madmook's parts. I know he had a falling out with Woddy's at one time but don't know what happened after that. If there's something you need, some of these guys might still have some parts in stock. I noticed lots of his parts are "out of stock" on some sites. He made most of the parts in batches, and sold them directly for the most part. There's sure going to be a hole in "high end" parts for these cars. Someone needs to take over the business and keep it running.

I was excited when Michael made the move to Havasu, I talked with Him at several of our cruise nights on McCulloch Blvd or as the locals call "Down Town" , I am stunned at the sudden and huge loss to the TriFive Community, Michael was way too young. Condolences to His Family and many many friends, RIP you will be missed
On a side note, I have tried to find out locally any info on His passing and haven't found anything yet.
