Windshield Options for My 56 Chevy Replace or Restore

    Hi everyone,

I’m working on my 56 Chevy and the windshield has some pitting and a few small chips from age and rock chips.

Since this section is all about bodyshop and workshop tips, I’m curious what others do for Tri Fives, and whether parts like the Polaris RZR 800 Windshield or similar upgrades have influenced your approach to restoration or protection work.

Do you typically try to polish and restore an original windshield or is full replacement the way to go?

If you replace, where do you source period correct glass? Any tips on removing and installing it without bending the chrome or trim?
