Adjustments we need to make on our old Chevys...

In a Hagerty email today, Kyle Smith lists 6 adjustments that our old cars require, that you may be forgetting about due to the lack of these on newer cars... Are you remembering to keep these items properly adjusted??

ALL of these are required to keep in adjustment on our classic chevys!

I did not see the most important one of all for a stock 55-57 anyone car to guess what that is.

Lubrication: front wheel bearings, grease fittings, etc...

No sorry guys, according to my Dad this adjustment was frequent even when his 56 was new. Most of us don't have this issue on our cars now.

Seems like with these old cars you'd need to adjust front wheel bearings now and then too, if they're driven much. Maybe the brakes?

We have a winner, These cars did not have self adjusting brakes when new. This obviously changes when disk and later rear ends are swapped.

Yes front wheel bearings need adjusted quite a bit. I upgraded mine to the roller bearing type a haven't adjusted one since.
In hindsight I wish I had added the disc brakes at the same time.
