    first 55 belair

    just bought a 55 and thinking of putting a 392 hemi in it, its a project just a roller is that a good idea or stick with a chevy it will not be a gasser ?

    Sounds all good to me - you should pursue your vision for the car. Will be harder to do than using a SBC, but your choice.

        Why not. Plenty of old Fords with small block Chevys. My cousin is putting a big block Mopar in his 39 ford pick up project. He got the engine and trans for free from his former employers hot rod shop

          You might want to take a look at the following post on this site:
          I have been working with a local (Colorado) guy named Steve on a C4 chassis build proposal for his 55 2DHT. He's really a Mopar lover, and has a couple of them, a nice late 60's Charger and a Cuda. He has always liked 55 Chevys to so he bought one and wants to do something unique with it. Steve contacted me and asked if it was
