I have a 55 210 .that has been mini tubbed which means springs have been moved to under frame .total width outside frame to outside frame is 41 inches. i want to install a 9 inch ford with disc brakes how wde does 9 inch need to be

Would depend on what you are going to use for rear wheels and tires. If you already have them then make the rear end to work with them. If you don't have rear wheels and tires yet then you have more options, but either way they will need to work together. I don't know if it is still on here but there was a calculator on here for both front and rear to help figure it all out.Brian,

IIRC, the Lincoln Versailles rear is 58.5 inches, but their automatic adjuster works via application of the parking brake. Meaning, if you didn't use the parking brake the "slack adjusters" do not function. The Explorer disc brake conversion corrects this, and it uses a drum brake system internal to the disc rotor for the parking brake. 55 oem is I believe 60.5 wide.
The rear calculator mentioned helps, there are many different wheel backspace configurations out there that you should be able to work around.Comment
