Oil pan removal

Can a 350 sbc oil pan be removed in a 55 chevy without lifting engine

It's been years ago - - but I removed the oil pan on my 327 in my '56 without lifting the engine. That should be for you.

It has been a while for me too, but I remember the same as Whatshisname. I recall lowering the steering connecting rod, but for sure didn't need to lift the engine.
