Hello and its time to finish the build

    Hello everyone

I'm working on a 1957 Bel Air build featuring a custom-built chassis with a 540 BBC. After several delays, I'm ready to move forward with the next stage of the project.

Currently, the body is on a rotisserie with the stock frame underneath. I have built a gantry crane and am now looking for ideas or plans for a body lifting device. My goal is to lift the body off the rotisserie and stock frame to test-fit it on the new chassis. This will allow me to double-check all mounting points, the firewall, and the rear fender wells before returning the body to the rotisserie for final prep and paint.

Any suggestions or advice you could share would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Well, a 2 post lift would be the way to go. Or some sort of gantry that is tall enough to let the body be raised high enough. People sell used gantrys all the time on Facebook Marketplace.
