If you had Big Daddy for a shop teacher in HS you would know this already, something like 90% of metal removed going foward, while 90 % of wear on file occurs going backward.

Ok, the post wasn't political..., and I would say, not BS.
Do you disagree with the test results from the video? Do you really believe the stats you posted? If so, does that make any sense to you, that the harder file would be worn down so much on the back stroke, by the softer metal being filed?

I really dont know but it makes sense to me that backwards motion does little. I have not used a file much lately. But know a cheese grader file only cuts going foward.
