have the outer pieces looking for the center mechanism
have one for a 56 with the turn handle?? but need one for a 57

AFAIK ... '55, '56, and '57 Nomad tailgates are the same wrt the internal mechanisms. In fact, the '57 is the only one with a trim difference as the V8 models in '57 has the V under the Nomad emblem. Otherwise, all the same over the three years.
