Hi William,
Not sure this will help, but when I was first going to post a pic, it looked ginormous in the preview. When I finally went ahead and posted, the pic resized to a reasonable size. May...
Hi 210Chevy,
I had good luck with the AAW kit. I see Summit has them for $575 (free shipping):

Gary,
I don't use the adaptor - I use a decent sized funnel that has an opening that just fits in the Lokar tube. Every millimeter helps get the fluid in, which is why I skipped the adaptor....
Hey Timo! Bling! Nice progress, what a change you have made. Good job!
Hi Gary,
I found a small diameter funnel and have had good success in filling fluid thru the Lokar trany filler tube. Can't go real fast, but can load up the funnel, let it leak down, and repeat. ...
Hey Old Buzzard,
Thanks for the question. I think all match. I think the one guide plate just needs adjustment (per the video I linked). I will pull the other valve cover and see how the other...
I assume you have the pics on your pc? If so, you can imbed a pic by clicking on the link symbol (it is the 5th icon from the right on the tool bar above where you are entering your comment or reply...
Following Rick's comment on the guide plates, I found this video that describes the procedure to align the plate (hopefully the link will work):

Hi Rick,
Thanks for the response. There are pushrod guide plates on the head (the black things in the pic). Any ideas for fixing this?
Thanks, Doug
I finally pulled the valve cover to put on a new valve cover gasket in hopes of stopping an oil leak. When I pulled the cover, I thought, that doesn't look right:

Any ideas on why the two...
Howdy! Welcome to the trifivechevy site! Great to have you join us - looking forward to hearing more about your car & seeing pics. Sounds like a great driver that you are making mo' betta already.
Progress! Congrats, guys!
Gary,
I made some progress on my 57, or rather a couple of shops did (some tuning tweaking, charge the AC system, fix leaks on the trany and differential, front end alignment). I thought I was...
Hi Bill,
Glad your iron is getting some exercise!
So sorry for the understandable effects of your loss. Continued prayers for you. Doug
Ha! I missed that! :D
Smooth! Nice job!
Hi Robert,
Thanks for the dimensions. Next time I have the cluster out (no, don't make me do it again!), I will do some measuring and see if the alpinetech lites could be made to work in an OE 57...
Robert,
I really like those indicator lights; my original lights are so dim in daylight that I often miss that they are on. Care to hazard a guess if they might work in an OE 57 cluster?
Thanks...
Richard,
Those are some major misalignments you have been faced with - great job on your repairs - looking great!
Bill,
Sorry to hear your wife is back in the hospital - prayers for her...
Thanks fellers - I will let my buddy know.
Thanks, Doug
Howdy,
Asking for a friend: after welding in some patches in a firewall, do you see any issues in using body filler to fill some of the irregularities (high heat location)? I see Evercoat Rage is...
Nice job! Looks like fun
Hi Milkman!
Welcome to the site! You gave up a lot of good sounding iron to get your PU, which sounds fabulous (especially in light of the story you related on your early experience delivering...
Hi Brian,
Nice job! I agree with comments that have been posted in your thread: after all this work, and your intimate knowledge of everything in the construction of the car, it would be hard to...
