Chevynut,
Clever and helpful idea to colorize the pics!
Thanks, Doug
Very cool custom work you are designing and building!
Looking great!
Also, the last pic before these latest progress pics showed the fixture you built for polishing the thin trim. I missed it when you first posted - great idea you had to keep the...
Different color than most, looks great - look forward to seeing it all trimmed out!
Thanks, Doug
Hi Brian,
Your profile die pliers idea is great! Thanks for sharing your innovative ideas that don't require a bunch of tools to implement!
Thanks! Doug
I appreciate your patience and persistence. I fear I would have taken a BFH to some of the parts you are restoring and then rued the day I did so. Nice work!
Agree
Progress! Good job, rock and roll!
Nice that Larry is making some progress - hope he continues. Those dash pad stitches are pretty prominent!
But the hood hinge levers look spiffy!
Welcome! Love your big window pickup!
I used that some book, and found it invaluable. I just did some internet searching, and didn't come on an updated version.
Regards, Doug
Oh! That looks really nice! Great vision, great job!
Great car, great shop, and great pickup i spy on the side! Welcome!
Chevynut,
Sorry the travail continues to get 'er done. The headliner does look very spiffy though!

Welcome! Great car you and your dad built! And a great year of a TriFive!

Bama,
That seems like a really nice kit, and on sale seems reasonable. Your link showed it as for a LS engine, so I assume wouldn't work on an older block (like my 327)?
I used the GM Serpentine...
I have a set of original wheels from my 57 that could be yours...
Welcome!
Glad you are here, and look forward to seeing pics of your fleet, and hearing more about your car(s).
Regards! Doug
Chevynut,
Thanks for documenting the potential fixes and results (and the links)!
Thanks, Doug
I pity you, the work you are having to do. The deconstruction phase is no fun (both the work, and the surprises uncovered). Hopefully the more enjoyable phase is not too far over the horizon,...
Hi Brian,
Really liked the tip about the wooden forming blocks. I will have to stuff that one in my brain, not that I will likely know where to access it there!
Thanks! Doug
Welcome to the site - great that you have joined us! Ideas on what you are looking for in a 57 (coupe, sedan, wagon, truck)? Looking to restore, or restomod, or?
Thanks, Doug
Thanks for the tip about the grommet over the buffer wheel nut!
