LT1 and LS harmonic balancer differences. If I mounted mine in the LS location I would have had to build a custom driveshaft tunnel.

The blocks are similar in size but the intake overhangs at the back of the engine as well as the fuel pump and bracket. The front accessories hug the block more so the crank pulley couldn’t straddle...

Im with laszlo in his first post. I personally wouldnt use under floor heating in a garage or workshop. If i was in there 5 days a week it would be a different story.

What does the rest of the gap look like at the bottom of the door to quarter.bottom of Door to rocker etc. it may just need some adjustments at the hinge depending how everything else lines up.
