Today we had a back up and punt moment. The nice chrome bezel on the gauges is far too large to fit in those corners of the instrument panel bezel from the outside. So we'll have to keep it on...

They just showed up at the post office so I’ll share a picture tomorrow.
Thanks!!
While we're getting prepared for wiring installation, the instrument cluster was dug out of its box to help us see where all the wiring was going. And there it was in all it's billet...
So...where we had left off on the wagon, more blocking of primer, fabrication/modification of defroster vents, and wiring.. So a test fit of our fuse panel mounting plate (American Autowire)...
Finally back from the latest round of hanging TV's for the day job, We’ve installed three video walls since the end of December, along with other AV equipment. Some we can’t take pictures of, but...

It's all a challenge that helps fill the experience void to draw on for the next challenge. A vicious circle indeed..
Yes, time clock we use in the shop. Beforehand, I was always forgetting to keep track of time, so this helps tremendously.. Bought at an auction for $25, and too much of a tightwad to buy a new...
Some equipment repairs were in order over the New Year's break, our tried and true Lathem time clock in the shop had given up the ghost. In speaking to Lathem, this model has been obsolete for some...
The press nuts typically rely on a knurled pattern around the circumference to “attach” or dig into the surrounding metal. The hole must be a specific size and they get pressed in place. As the...
More travel for the day job, had to install a 24' video wall. Back in the shop finally, progress on the air cleaner continues.. We had some stainless mesh left over from our speaker grill...
Now to fold the outer perimeter of our air cleaner base. I thought of using a tipping wheel, but that appeared to be rather close for comfort. So a curved piece of bar stock in the scrap pile...
That's after about 20 years of use on a part time basis, but I'd have never thought there was enough velocity that the media would have done that..
Thanks for the comments guys, hope you don't jinx me though, not done yet!! :D
Last night we changed out the thumbnail shrinking dies for linear stretch dies in the Lennox TE250 in order to tip...
Now for our bottom plate for the air cleaner.. In order to keep the filter located properly (keep it from moving around) we decided to add a bead to the bottom of the plate.

More work on the Caddy air cleaner, time to fabricate the pocket for the coil. Our radius brake that is bolted to the front of the shear is used to bend some 18ga into a horseshoe. One side is...
The larger opening at the bottom is for the 9" filter to fit in. The base plate will over up that opening and have a snout that drops down to the 4-1/8
It gets a base plate that adapts to the FI Tech. Next thing to make.... as well as pocket for the coil to hide in...
