A few hundred cheaper? No way. Cheaper maybe, but not by that much. If you see a price discrepancy like that, the cheaper system is not as complete.
What you're missing is that pedal ratio and bore diameter have similar effects. Pressure and volume are both affected. A stop only affects total volume.
Leave the gaskets and Permatex at the auto supply.
Not only no sealer, but no gasket on a factory manifold. The factory never used them.
The factory used a rubber strip like that but it was a bit thinner. If what you have appears to be the thickness required (thick enough to assure no movement, thin enough that it will go together),...
Camshaft does not affect static compression ratio, which is what's specified.
Only the high hp dual quad and FI engines got the 097 Duntov cam. The rest got a generic low lilft low duration cam.
Look into the newer TKX transmission. Has more friendly shifter location options, plus it fixes some of the shifting problems that the 500 and 600 transmissions have.
Welcome to the site.
The first thing you need to do is get a factory shop manual and a factory assembly manual. Both are online, but print copies are sold by trifive parts dealers. The...
A common modification. Just plug the hole(s).
So we need a test pilot.
FWIW pot metal doesn't rust. I guess the Chinaman that wrote that doesn't realize that.
Looks like the antenna hole is slightly outboard and not centered on the crown of the fender.
Could have been fixed with a mockup before paint. Easy for me to say, LOL.
1. Yes
2. No. No one has this.

6. No.
I don't know if my answers a 100% correct, but at least there is now a basis for future discussion and...
I have a CPP500 box for mine. I helped a friend with a Borgeson.
They are essentially the same thing in terms of function and dimensions.
The Borgeson 600 box is a modified OEM box from an early 2000's Tahoe or similar vehicle. A new lower housing is welded...
Did you need someone to tell you to close the hood?
Get a shop manual for your year of car. Will have this and MUCH more.
Using a reference mark would be meaningful only if you were to use the same yoke again, which you obviously can't. The reason is that the thickness of the new and old yokes may be enough different...
An 896 head would have come on a 250 hp 327, which was the lowest hp choice for a 327 in 63 and 64. Available in any Chevy body style. Possibly also could have come on a 220 hp 283.
That date...
Chevy only put 56 engines in 56 cars. A previous owner could have put a 57 engine in your 56.
55-57 cars did not have build sheets.
I assume then that your VP at the pump is legal - but what's the cost? How far away can you drive from those stations?
Legality aside, the logistics on using av gas or race gas are also way beyond any sort of practicality. Other solutions have to be better.
For my T56, I have an 02 Camaro t/o bearing, along with a Tick Perf. speed bleeder and a Tick Perf. clutch master which uses a slightly bigger bore Tilton cylinder than GM used. Slightly increased...
I don't think the hydraulic t/o bearings used in OEM GM applications have a big complaint list regarding leaks. Pretty much anything with a T56 has one, as well as S10s etc. I don't know what full...
