Thanks to everyone for the kind words. As for the front seat Tabasco, it's actually a 54 Chevy seat, and fits in just fine with no mods. The car came with it and I had no idea it was a 54 until I...
I used a product called Quadmat. It comes in 1 foot squares and installs like dynamat. It has black closed cell nitrile foam on the outer side, butyl and aluminum layers and is much better on the...
Well I'm happy to say that after almost two years to the day the 56 is back on the road. Working strictly on Saturdays and once in a while on a Sunday the 56 underwent a complete makeover. She ran...
I installed a manual rack and pinion made by Unisteer on my 56. I used an IDIDIT column and floor shift as well. The headers were Sandersons made specifically for the Unisteer R&P. Went in pretty...
Thanks Laszlo! The color is called fawn, similar to taupe. Gina at Ciadellas must have sent me 100 different samples of everything between tan, taupe, and fawns. This particular one has the look,...

Jim
Rick, if you decide to go the pewter two tone route let me know, I have the paint mix if you want it. It was the only way to get a perfect match with the metallic hues.
That 57 is in great shape. Should make for a great project. Keep us posted with the progress and lots of pics!!!

Thanks! The color is Mercedes Pewter Metallic on top and Pewter Metallic on the bottom with the addition of 500 grams more black than the top. I had a difficult time finding a darker metallic color...
Thanks Laszlo! It's a driver and no competition for the custom work you've put into that Nomad...You're in a whole nother class brother. I'm a garage builder lol!
Jim
New to this forum but not new to forums and have been working on my 56 for almost exactly 2 years now, so rather than post this in the "New Guy" threads, I'm putting this in the project section. This...
