    Anyone have experience with....

    A good small bodied HEI set-up? What to use? How to set up? V-8 engine, 1956 Nomad.

    I didn't use a small bodied,but I used a malery hi output hope I spelled that rite,I cant spell for shit.Any way's it work's well for me.

    Seems to me that a small-bodied HEI is nothing but the large bodied one with the coil moved off the cap. I think if you stick with name brands like Mallory, MSD, Accel, and a few others you'll be fine.

    i remember back in the day on my high school 56 nomad, we had dual quads on the 327, and used a mallory to get in the tight space. good luck!

    I use the Summit Billet "ready to run" small diameter distributor with the external coil. So far it has worked really well.
