    Windlace install

I am trying to install a windlace (Ciadella's). Is there a simple trick to install the windlace in the windlace retainer by the kickboards. I am trying to feed it in from the top, but after a few inches it won't feed down any more. Thanks.

I started from the top. Make sure the channel is clean and smooth. I used silicone spray to lube it.

Just because it's old dosen't make it a classic:
and just because it's rare doesn't make it cool.

Yes, I think some sort of lube is just about a must. I remember doing a pair of these years ago and it was a PITA.

Mine was the same way. I ended up spreading them open a litle with a screwdriver. After I got them in I closed them back up. I don't think I would have ever gotten them in without doing that.
