    Depends on material type and thickness - I have a Miller 625 and it performs quite well. If this is for just a short term use, consider renting one. Air supply needs to be dry and clean too.

    None of them I have seem cut clean and fast at max cut, if you want to cut 3/8 buy one rated at 1/2.
