can`t get head lights to work
Is it stock wiring? Are the bulbs good? Do you have them grounded? Unplug the connector on the dimmer switch and see if you're getting power there with the headlight switch on.

headlight switch could be problem. they have a built in fuse.

drive and enjoy them while you work on them, life is to short.
I did not think headlights were fused on thses cars. When I have had headlights issues on old Chevys many times it was in dimmer switch or its connector.
