    engine swap

Hello to all,I have a 1989 Chevy truck and was wondering if a engine from a 1979 Chevy will bolt up to the 1989? I have changed the engines on the 1979 and older but I don't know about the newer ones. Thanks for the help.

My 1987 GMC 4x4s bith gave earky 70s shortblocks due ti the orginaks being cracked late nodek thin wall crap. I have the 87-95 TBI heads and byntakes on them, You need to use early flexplate due to one piece rear main.

I am sure it can be done but dont think its a good plan, Inline 6 never offered in 88-98 1/2 ton etc. Your 89 has a V8 or V6 plus injection.
