New member from Tx with a "new"56

Hello,I'm retired and pumped about picking up a 56 4 door post this week,my first since 1965 and secound in my life. Bought without even seeing it. Is that bad or just mean I have it bad? I hope it's not a scam or Mountain Woman will give me an old fashion ass shaving. I plan only getting it safe and dependable to drive unless I find a sack of money beside the road. It hasn't run in years, set outdoors in Western Tx which is fairly dry and road salt is only a once in a blue moon thing. Pics of floors, rockers, trunk, fenders and eyebrows all look to have only surface rust and no pin holes. Wish me luck and I'll try and figure how to post pics after I get it home,,,,,,,,,unless seller photoshoped a matchbox.

Thanks chevynut,it'll be fun regardless how easy or difficult. I'm not easly discouraged unless I find myself pounding sand in a rat hole. Investing time and money in cars this desirable is far from pounding sand in any kind of hole. I'm excited to see how much I remember about the old sbc engines. I have my eye on the 283 I helped my son build for his Camaro several years ago. He want's an LS and is willing to let me have the 283 in exchange for a little asistance and tool loaning.

MM if your lonely just head north to Albany. That little oil rich town has plenty of nice trifives to hang with lol. Stop in at the beehive and enjoy one of the best ribeye steaks anywhere.... Your not far from my home stomping ground. Abilene is the closest big city lol...
