    BED LINER

Just got hone from the paint shop with my 1987 GMC 4x4, new bedsides doors etc. Anyone have a recommendation on a do it yourself bed liner kit. Spray on or roll on, what brand.

I recently used a SEM Rock It liner kit and thought it turned out pretty good.

I used U-Pol Raptor. Spray looks much better then if you roll it on.

Don't have a pic of a bed sprayed but here's a pic of the bottom side of my 55.

If your bed is bare metal I would apply two coats of black SPI epoxy before the bed liner is sprayed for better rust protection because the bed liner does not really cover to good unless you spray multiple coats. If you have good paint with no chips or rust then epoxy is not needed, scuff the paint then apply the bed liner.

The truck is a 87 GMC 1/2 which is the last year the bed bolts together. I replaced the bed sides and stripped the floor. Truck was painted base clear but inside of bed and floor was single stage enamel. So I have no rust or chips.
