Looks great Paul!~ certainly better than good enough for me ... because if you make them 'too nice' to drive, then you've relegated the car to a 'display piece'... and if you can't drive them... what good are they?

Figurines on a whatnot shelf are lots cheaper to maintain as 'display pieces'...

Bama...I have all new stainless trim for the beltline + new inserts. I'm just holding off on installing it as I was really only going to get this thing roadworthy for a season, troubleshoot issues, drive it a bit, then tear it all down and go thru paint and body work. But it may be longer than that...

Some of the trim clips are difficult to get to from the backside, so thats another reason i was holding off.

I don't know. I may get restless and try installing it over the summer.

the more trim I install, the less I want to tear it all back down later on

Sheesh...almost been a year since I last checked in. Been swamped with a whole house remodel/addition that I've been in planning for since 2019, and we just got started about Nov last year. So haven't had much time for working on the Nomad. It's drivable, so just been cruising locally for now.

So recently, I put new Nitto tires on these C5 wheels (because the old Goodyear Eagles were coming up on 20 years old?) I wanted to get new polished custom wheels, but it's about a $6000 price tag for the wheels alone and I just cant justify that at this juncture. So spend a thousand and got these "Dot certified- but practically track tires". Damn this thing sticks in the corners!

And lately, I 've spent another grand on power window, power vent wing, power door locks, etc. Been wiring those in. There's SEVENTEEN wires that pass thru the door into the A pillar! Some of these are "self inflicted" because I decided NOT to put the window crank switches on each door, but rather, put them side by side in the center console. Can't get the pic to post. I'll try it in another session.

    In no particular order:
    Power Window Motor- 2 wires
    Power Vent Motor- 2 wires
    Blinker in Mirror- 2 wires
Power Door Lock Actuator- 5 wires
    Courtesy Light - 2 wires
    Midrange Speaker- 2 wires
    Tweeter Speaker- 2 wires

Filled that door wiring loom pretty tightly. I'm not sure I could get all of these hidden inside a modified door hinge.

But the passenger side is all in. Now to reinstall the window and hook up the switches to verify the motors work.

Wow, that is quite the bundle! Glad it worked out, and that you had enough room; nice to have all that remote control!

This week I found (for the right price) an almost-brand-new set of C5 chrome wheels for my sled. Same wheels i had before, but this is a chromed set. Much better match to all the other chrome and stainless on this wagon. Waddayathink?
(This is a partial move towards a fully custom set of wheels that I cannot afford at this point).

I still need to get all that side stainless on also...
