    Progress, and more questions.

So Yellow 210 has been in sickbay for a bit, but progress has been made. To date, we have all new front suspension and steering ( including a Borgenson P/S and Ididit column), new rear springs, and a complete redo of the clutch linkage. Also added a Hurst Comp Plus shifter, and a fan shroud. So I'm excited to get the old girl on the street, and guess what, no fire. Crap.
So I do my trouble shooting, and the MSD box has pooped the bed. So, I'd like a reliable ignition with a vacuum advance for a street cruiser. Thoughts?
    Thanks all, Greg

I run a Mallory Unilite in 56 with a Petronix conversion, 55 still has a tach drive Unilite with a MSD 6AL. I have a UNilite with vacuume advance have considered it for 56.

    Carl,

I'm admiring those neat coils you have in your brake lines (taking up the extra length of the lines?)... I tried to do that with mine rather than cut off the lines and redo the flare fitting on the end and I ended up with a mess... HOW DID you make those neat bends? and did you do it ON the car, or with the lines off the car?

Bamas correct those coils are very well done, like factory ones on later models.

In my opinion the only reliable HEI are the OEM ones and they dont fit 55-57 unless motor is moved foward. I am not a big fan of that, requires moving radiator et.

I have been happy with the MSD RTR distributor I put on my car.
    Not HEI, is vacuum advance.
