A Quick Fuel carb is a Holley clone. They have (had) a reputation as being high quality stuff. Holley purchased the company 4 or 5 years ago. I'm sure R&D/new products stopped then. Unsure if Holley made any detail changes to the products or left them truly independent - doubt it.

Silver can be a little finicky to paint. Have to be patient when laying it down. Looks good. Steve

Hi Rick_L, thanks for the info. My understanding from long ago research; the Quick Fuel line was a developed stand alone by some Holley X-employees. I was not aware Holley bought the Quick Fuel Company. I do know that Quick Fuel is still marketed by a separate identity. It's been my experience in the past Quick Fuel Reps won't talk much about Holley and Holley Reps won't talk much about Quick Fuel.

You are right about that 57fleetside. I squirt it in very light coats and it seems to lay down pretty good for me. Like you said "patience" is the key. Joel

I haven't posted in a while due to several issues including a short stay in the hospital. I'm on the mend now and hoping to continue working on the 56 by spring. Before my health issue started I finished installing the interior but haven't taken any pics to post yet. Hopefully I'll get to catch up on taking and posting pics soon. I hope all are doing fine and weathering the winter well.

454BBCMan, I'm sorry you've been ill, but great to hear you're on the mend! Looking forward to seeing more results of your automotive efforts soon!~
