I love the look of your car and it's rear wheels; the '58" rear seems a great way to go for the deep dish look in a 'near stock car' with good meat tires as well...
Utah? or Mississippi?

I used to buy every 57-59 Ford Fairlane rear I can across they are 57 wide and inject them into someone who has drank the Furd Koolaid. Same width a Pinto and 64-66 Mustang.
You must have been a Mississippi resident at that time (running a MS tag); what part?
5 states... You've a well-traveled '55... and we're glad it was able to stay wtih you thru those travels...
i don`t think i`ll put it in the `57, but i think it`s a good price. and my rear is holding up quite well with all the hammering it gets. moser axles, al brunau girdle caps.
Cougar rears, 9", of the years noted (67-70) are 59.375" in width.
Everyone I ever had was right at 60, next time I have Dads one owner # match 68 Mustang on lift I will check again. I ran one out of a 69 Cougar under my 67 Camaro in the 70s and even left the spring perches in stock Ford location. The 12 bolt I replaced it with was the same width. It is a #match 67 only housing with a traction bar on pass side axle tube only.
