    static compression ?

    I'm pondering the idea of putting a stroker rotating assembly in my vortec 350. Living at 5000ft elevation, i'm thinking of going with a piston that will give 10:4 static comp ratio, Over the 9:8, because of the elevation. Am i thinking wrong on this, or should i stick with the 9:8 setup?

    Should be fine, would be even at a lower elevation with the Vortec heads, which can stand a higher compression ratio than other OEM heads.

    It's due to the "heart shaped" combustion chambers. You also should run about 4° less timing with them too.
