    ALTERNATOR NOT FITTING SNUG

seems like a lot of play between the bolt and the alt. itself. hard to describe, it`s like the bolt is to narrow for the alt. i can move it with the bolt installed. actually wiggle it. any spacer or something i`m missing? thanx.

Dave, I have purchased a reman alt in the past and sometimes they come with a bolt and a sleeve to mount it with. I suppose some remans have larger mounting holes due to using different casings in the reman process. I have also had alt's with a sleeve that has a bolt flange on it so it bolts to the alt. Not sure this will help you but sharing my experience on this subject.

I think the alternator probably needs a sleeve in the mounting hole, like mentioned above.
