    Throttle Linkage

My newly acquired 55 has a Holley 700 cfm carb and rigged up throttle assembly. I know I could get a Lokar set up but I'm curious as to what you guys have for a throttle assembly on your carbureted V8 engines? Pictures would be great if possible. Thanks! Bo

My 56 has a 3x2 intake with 2Jet carbs and 55 has a Tunnel ran with two Holley 600s. Both have modified stock linkage, I use a lot of 1/4 20 Heims joints, from lawnmower shops or Speedway. Lokar and their bling is the supplier of last resort.

What I have is a mess. 1/4 x 20 threaded rod that is bent into an L shape on the accelerator arm end, on the carburetor end there is a piece threaded onto the rod and that piece is wired to the carburetor. It works but I want to do better!

Dave, if you are using a Holley 4 barrel, how is the rod attached to the carb? Thanks! Bo

Speedway as tons of slick parts and pieces do this job that work with any carb.

After a trip to Tractor Supply this is what I came up with. I had to drill and tap the union for the carburetor attachment.

Sorry, but I would go back to the drawing board on that. Looks like a recipe for unintended acceleration.
