    Rear Glass Install

We are having trouble installing the rear glass in my 57 2-door sedan. I have new glass, seal and plenty of silicone. Please help with any tips.
Also I concerned that the actual glass is too short (top to bottom) and doesn't curve enough on either side.

    Please help.

Having just spent several days and efforts over a few months attempting to install an 'incorrect' windshield... I'd suggest fitting the glass itself to the body to ensure it's size/curvature is *right* for your car... LeeT had suggest use of some 'wooden' blocks to hold the glass in place, and I theorized that maybe a few chunks of an 'old' seal might work and allow you to visualize the fit...?

On the other trifive sites (trifive.com and chevytalk.com) there are sticky posts with the correct procedures for installing front and rear windows.

There is a significant difference between the rear glass for a sedan and a hardtop. A tape measure and a visual look should be all you need to verify.

The wood block procedure is in the shop manual.
