    MARK M, ALTERNATOR MOUNTING BOLT

hey, did`nt want to steal the thread about mounting the starter, so i started new. anyway, mark, you mentioned that dorman sells these knurled bolts. my alternator bracket, one that bolts on the number 1 header bolts, the 3/8 bolt is not snug in it, and a 7/16 is to big. so, maybe the knurled bolt would make up the little gap. does dorman sell all lengths or just the "kit" for starters? thanx!

All I have ever seen is starter bolts in the Help line. If you have a swp and Accessory holes in heads why not use a 72 Chevy truck bracket/ 72 Corvette. A much better setup.

The bolts are only sold to fit starters - in the specific length needed for starters.

Could you open the hole up a little bit and go with the 7/16 bolt ?
