Are the quarter panels original to the car? The doors?

I'm wondering if those are original 57 quarter panels and 56 doors.

I believe the ONLY difference in specific model doors is the moulding holes, and that also varies with which trim series it was built with? I'm trying to figure out if we have any factory documentation which specifies exact differences in the hole locations... Does anyone know if we have access to such info? Possibly someone who deals in parts can provide more information to assist Timo?

On Nomad bodies (and other BelAirs?) other year same model doors can be used but typically the wrong year holes are welded up and proper ones drilled. It's worse with sedans given that all trim levels (150, 210, 2400) and all three years (I think) all use the same door frames/skins, except for the trims/holes used. If I'm wrong here, someone please correct this and provide better information!

Only difference I can recall other than trim holes is I thought 56 & 57 had different latch assemblys than 55.

I put the fenders on today and the holes are way Off compared to the door so I have To weld the door holes shut and make New holes for the molding and use my molding for template so They will surely fit. Thanks for the responses to everyone! This is great site for the Builder and fans also!

    Timo,

If I'm not mistaken, you recognizee that the doors came from a different car when you first did your 'walkaround' after receiving it? Was it apparent to you at that time, that the doors were (or probably were) from a '56??
