    Transmission numbers

    Can some one tell me what transmission is this. It has two codes: E217 and 371925.

    Im selling the trans and need to find out what it is but could not find the info anywhere

    I don't know transmissions well, but it looks like it says right on it on top, Powerglide.

    Early cast iron Powerglide. The E217 is likely the casting date for the part you took that off of, which would indicate a May '57 casting (and most likely a '57 Powerglide)...
