    Brake lines

We are getting closer to doing front disc brakes on my 56' short bed and thinking about getting a preformed steel brake line kit to make things a little easier. Has anyone gone with a preformed kit and where did you buy it. How did it work out? Classic Ind. has a preformed kit but they tell me it will not work with front disc brakes. It could be the fittings or the bend at the front disc brake is different. Seems like that would be a simple fix.

    Thanks

One thing I've finally figured out, is it can be be much easier to bend your own, and use a good flaring tool. The Ridgid 345 works great for the money.

I used this company based in Columbus OH. I did a front disc brake conversion from another supplier and got the front and rear preformed brake lines from these guys, they were a perfect fit (in 2007). They're still in business and I visited their facility and was impressed. A lot of what they sold was made there, again that was in 2007.

They go by this name, The Right Stuff, but this is the website.

Shipping brake lines is always an issue unfortunately. They could end showing up folded in half, or more. I've had to try and straighten out a few of my own bends.
