    Molded carpet

Is there a difference in a molded carpet for a 55 Chev 2 door hardtop vs a post car? Some say yes and others say no difference. If there is, how much fitting and cutting is required?

All I know is the carpet I bought for my 56 2 door sedan fit very well (after I laid it in the sun for a while) and required very little trimming. I don't recall being asked if it was a sedan or hardtop when I ordered.

I would suggest calling Ciadella's or CARS and asking the suppliers of carpet if the carpet they sold was different between the two? IIRC the rear side panel for a hardtop is different than that for a sedan, and 'might' take up a bit more room at the floor...? (been a long time since I owned a hardtop or post car)...

Front carpet would be the same, the rear carpet would be different because the hardtop has less rear leg room. But it would be easy to trim a sedan carpet to fit.

Trimming carpet is easy... unless it has 'finished edges'... ?

If your carpet is molded I'd throw it away and get a new one!!!

You don't need a finished edge when it's out of sight under the seat.

Does the carpet along the side panel go UNDER? or is it visible?
