I listened to as much of Bidens' speech as I could stomach, but finally had to switch channels.

This morning, checking several stations/networks, all I observed was 'reviews/repeats' of Biden's words, but NOTHING from Tim Scott's rebuttal. I'm curious if anyone else saw what I missed... ie. Senator Tim Scott's rebuttal of Bidens claims?? Did any of you see the typical summary of Bidens/Scotts speeches on any of the networks?? If you did, I'd love to see your comments!

I found/listened to and read portions of Senator Scott's rebuttal speech just now online. He is a black senator from South Carolina, and I thought he did a great job of: 1) addressing the portions of Bidens speech which totally omitted giving any credit for Trump's accomplishment, 2) listed the Trump administration politicies and advances (which Biden totally ignored) and addressed how the initial Biden actions was doing more to 'push americans apart', rather than bring America together (which was Biden's campaign slogan), 3) listed some of the arenas which the Biden policies so far were NOT advancing America, but were pushing it back. I thought he did a very credible job in his speech of addressing most of the differences between Republican and Democratic policies, but without doing so in a confrontational manner (as the Demos would have done). HIS speech was about bringing the country together, rather than creating an adversarial atmosphere.

One paragraph near the end of his speech that I really liked that summed up the differences between Republican and Demo policies:

"Our best future will not come from Washington schemes or socialist dreams. It will come from you, the American people: black, Hispanic, white, and Asian; Republican and Democrat; brave police officers in black neighborhoods."
