Got the e-mail a little over an hour ago. It's on for May.........13-15, 2022. I registered as soon as I saw the e-mail.

Should start to gain some traction as long as the govt authorities dont do something stupid like requiring proof of vaccine or whatever direction the wind is blowing by May of next year.

I'll sign up either way though.

I saw where the upcoming NHRA race at Pomona will not be requiring proof of vaccine. Looks like for now outdoor events won't require that.

I didn't need proof of vaccination or a mask for either Good Guys Del Mar or Western Invasion anywhere last month.

Newsflash...Russia invades Ukraine and the 2nd Western Invasion planned for May 2022 is CANCELLED by the promoters.
they sent me a refund check.
I called and asked why and they didn't give much of a cohesive answer.
I say several things happened:
they lost their arse financially on the first one
they don't see it gaining traction
they lost a key sponsor (maybe Danchuk was funding this from afar?)
maybe the venue didn't firm up the date or terms.

Either way, the guy on the phone just said "there won't be one for 2022. we have no other news than that".
