    My 62 Corvette

Got this car in a partial trade for a C4 conversion frame for a 55 Nomad. It's a numbers-matching 340HP 327 with a muncie 4-speed. I found a correctly date-coded T10 that I will use in it if I decide to restore it to original condition. It runs and drives, but the body needs work as the guy who "restored" it didn't do a very good job. It has both tops and I got a bunch of NOS parts with it. I currently have no plans for it since my Nomad is still not finished, and I don't want two projects right now as I plan to move.

Congrats! I've always loved the '61 & '62 body style. Our first Corvette was a '61, which we bought while I was in college.

It's interesting that I've been watching the weather in both places and it's really not that much different in temperature. The average temperature varies by 5-10 degrees year-round. Lincoln Montana gets a little more snow and it stays all winter, where snows in Colorado tend to melt away a lot. It's less windy in Lincoln than in Fort Collins, but the wind does blow there. The last two winters the most snow we saw on the ground in Lincoln was about 30" two years ago and 18" last year. There was about 12-14" when we were there two weeks ago, so we did a little snowmobiling. I usually check the temperatures every morning and evening out of curiosity and often it's warmer in Lincoln than Fort Collins. However, the weather tends to move from Montana to Colorado so there's just a time delay of a couple days. Summers are really nice in Lincoln and they even have car shows there.

We used to go through Lincoln when we would go from Polson to Great Falls and back! Isn't Lincoln where Ted Kaczynski was found?

LOL! Yes it is. They sell a beer in the Montanan restaurant in Lincoln called Unabomber Stout.

His shack was up Stemple Pass Road that heads south from the middle of town. Our place is SW of town, only about 3 miles west and 3 1/2 miles south. You might have seen Dalton Mountain Road heading south off of HWY200....that's where our place is. Interesting history there.
