I purchased two new linkage rods for my 57 Nomad because I am going from an original 2 barrel set up to an original 4 barrel Carter set up . 1 rod for the accelerator which dose seem to be different and longer , but the rod for the transmission kick down seems to be the same length as the 2 barrel kickdown rod and it appears to be to short . Are the 2 and 4 barrel kickdown arms the same length ? I went to my parts book and yes both the carb rod and the kick down rod are suppose to be different the 4 barrel rods are both longer than the 2 barrel rods . I have received a 2 barrel kick down rod and will have to get the correct longer 4 barrel one . The parts books will give you answers sometimes .

I just ordered and received a rod from ebay. I have an original 283 with 4 brl and cast iron powerglide. It was 3/4" longer than the original and divits weren't correct. Still searchingComment
